Sourcing & Procurement Superintendent

The S&P Superintendent is responsible for managing the Sourcing and Procurement function for all Goods and Services in the region to ensure all the needs and requirements for Operations are met, including Goods and Services requirements processed by the third party BPO provider. In charge of developing, planning and execution Newmont suriname’s purchasing strategy, policies and guidelines to drive shared goals and objectives across the entire Supply Chain, Responsible for building up the working and operational relationships between the local and BPO S&P teams, and the Operations’ stakeholders, to drive sustainable efficiency and effectiveness in the Sourcing and Procurement function. Participate in enhancing Newmont’s overall P2P performance through the close interaction with the Newmont Suriname AP Lead and AP Liaison to ensure an effective and efficient P2P operation.

More specifically, approve and manage commercial aspects of all Goods and Services procurement activities throughout internal customer departments and in accordance with regional standards, policies and procedures, while at the same time ensuring a high level of support service to internal customer departments for services procurement bidding, negotiating, purchase agreement and order preparation, administration and management and applying an ethical, efficient, risk managed, consistent and cost effective approach at every stage of the process. Services procurement requires a strong emphasis on appropriate buying strategies, accurate documentation, expediting, and administration. Procured services include Outsourcing S&P services, Consulting and general services as required.
